Summer is Over
This week, pupils across the country are receiving their GCSE results.
For students, these days are pure emotion—joy, relief, sometimes sadly heartbreak.
Whatever the outcome, results day is always unforgettable.
For many teachers though, amongst the intense emotion, results day can signal something else entirely different: the holiday ends, the inbox fills, and the weight of “back on duty” lands once again.
For many teachers, the day is defined by the unshakable feeling that “this is the last time I can do this.”
This is one of the sparks that created Next Steps Institute.
We are born of a determination to help professionals, including teachers, who feel stuck step into new, high value careers.
To focus on the future.
We believe those futures should be built on value, on development, and on choice.
Let’s focus on education. Because the numbers are shocking.
Last year, 40,000 teachers left the classroom.
That’s enough to fill a football stadium. And when you see that image in your mind’s eye - a stadium full of exhausted, talented professionalism - it becomes clear: something has to change.
Not just in education, but across all workplaces where people are running on empty.
At the NSI, we believe that leaving isn’t failure. It’s setting yourself up for success.
Every achievement, every challenge, every skill you’ve built so far isn’t wasted - it’s the launchpad for what comes next.
Because taking your next steps doesn’t have to mean starting again.
That’s why we created our 5-Step NSI Roadmap
Through tools like the NSI Navigator, we’ll help you uncover strengths, explore fresh opportunities, and take bold, confident steps forward.
This will be launched in due course.
Because success doesn’t happen by chance.
It happens when you decide to set yourself up for it.
But we need your help.
Be one of the first to shape the Next Steps Institute, through our Early Adopter Programme.
The new programme helps professionals ready for a career change.
As an early adopter, you’ll receive exclusive access to our services and the chance to influence our tools before anyone else.
You’ll even receive branded merch!
